International Product Manager, Roche (Switzerland)
Class of 2010
Eva (Furczon) McLellan joined Roche Canada in 2009 as a marketing associate and since then held roles in marketing, medical marketing management and sales. In those roles McLellan was recognized for her ability to build trustful relationships, identify opportunities and mobilize others to achieve exceptional results. She led several innovative regional and national projects which were recognized as best practices within the company. While at Roche Canada she developed her expertise in several therapeutic areas including virology and oncology. She attributes her success to commitment and passion for her work, willingness to take on new challenges, and being mentored by some of the best in the industry.
Currently McLellan is an International Product Manager working in Global Product Strategy at Roche Headquarters in Switzerland. In her role, she is a core member of a Global Team responsible for developing and implementing competitive readiness strategies that are critical to the sustained success of the company. Her team focuses on new ways to facilitate access to Roche’s innovative medicines in developed and emerging markets, as well as helping Roche’s affiliates anticipate and address the challenges brought on by global trends in the industry.
Prior to Roche, McLellan worked at Millennium Research Group, a global market research company focused on medical technology markets. Here, she cultivated her passion for science and business. This passion has led her to publishing articles, presenting at various conferences, effectively leading cross-functional teams, and mentoring young professionals. “I remain consistently curious and challenge myself to “think outside the box”, to ask the right questions, to propose pragmatic solutions to problems, and effectively translate business and science into strategic insights.” This curiosity and the insights it prompts will likely lead to McLellan’s dream of one day to contributing her own 20-minute talk on TED!
For McLellan, the MBiotech program has proven to be an invaluable resource for helping her establish significant networks in the biotech industry, while building a foundation in the skill-sets required for leadership. “Most importantly, it taught me how to build and effectively work in teams, and tested my ability deliver results under tight timelines. Through these experiences, I had lots of fun and had the privilege of building friendships that will last a life time.”
