Kevin Yousie is an Associate Professor in the teaching stream at the University of Toronto. He teaches General Management and has a particular interest in emerging technologies and their implications for organizations, executive teams, leadership, and strategy. He is also Chair of the University of Toronto annual tri-campus IMI Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Competition and Workshop Series. His contributions have been recognized with the MMPA Teaching Award as well as with the University of Toronto’s Institute for Management & Innovation “Faculty Award for 2020”.

Through his consulting work Professor Yousie has assisted senior executives and boards with high-impact strategic and organizational situations for more than twenty years. His client list includes more than seventy organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies and large international financial institutions, to a number of family foundations and philanthropic organizations largely within the ESG sustainable economy sector. His work has been global in scope and he has travelled extensively.

Earlier in his career Professor Yousie worked in Commercial, Corporate & Investment, and International Banking in Canada, the United States, and across Asia.

Professor Yousie has been an accredited corporate director (ICD.D) since 2005 and has more than twenty years of board experience. He has served on the Advisory Board of the Ivey Business School and he is a recipient of the Ivey Distinguished Service Award. He has also served as a board director at CHCO Ltd. and as Board Chair at the Southdown Institute, a residential mental health and addiction treatment centre.

In addition to his ICD.D director’s designation, Professor Yousie obtained his Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation and is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB).
